Becoming a Waldorf class teacher requires training in the Waldorf curriculum.  All of our full-time faculty members are either Waldorf-trained, in training, or working alongside a team member who has Waldorf training.  For more information on teacher training, go to www.steinercollege.edu or come join us for a Tuesday morning tour at 9am. 

AWS is always looking for substitute teachers for Preschool and all Grades (1-8)!   Substitute pay is $10/hr.  If you are interested, please contact us at 205.592.0541 and begin with a regular (60-minute) tour of the school; these tours are held each Tuesday at 9am.  

For the fall of 2013-14, AWS is seeking a Classroom Aide for the combined 1st/2nd Grade classroom.  Hours will be 10:15-3:15 daily during the school year with some reallocation for parent conferences.  Experience with the current rising first grade class is preferred.

For the fall of 2013-14, AWS is seeking an Extended Care Lead Teacher for the Preschool (ages 2-6).  Hours will be 12:15-5:45pm daily during the school year.  Experience with AWS' Extended Care program is preferred.   

For the fall of 2013-14, AWS is seeking a Spanish Teacher to teach Spanish to Grades classes in 1st through 8th grade (some classes are combined across two grades). A native speaker of the Spanish language is preferred. Ten 45-minute classes will be taught each week with hours ranging from 10:15am to 3pm daily during the school year. There is one afternoon weekly meeting from 3:15-5:30pm. Including weekly meeting times, this position pays $9,000.
